Competition for 2009 draws to a close
Italian winner for ‘Eyes on Malta’ video competition
The Malta Tourism Authority announced the results of the ‘Eyes on Malta’ video competition organised on its website visitmalta.com and Youtube during 2009.
The competition, which ended on 31 December 2009, called for participants to submit videos highlighting their own personal impression of Malta as a unique holiday destination.
A total of 23 videos were received, originating from the UK, Italy, Germany, Austria, Malta, the USA, Hungary and Ukraine. The videos were uploaded on a dedicated channel on the popular video-sharing website Youtube. Participants were encouraged to publicise their video by sharing it with their online friends to increase visibility and improve their chances of ranking high.
A judging panel from the Malta Tourism Authority reviewed all submissions and decided to award the first prize to the video ‘FASCINATING MALTA’ by Angelo Fragala’ from Italy. Mr Fragala’ will be travelling to Malta for a one-week holiday for two persons at the Fortina Spa Resort in Sliema. He will also receive EUR1000 as spending money.
Participants whose video ranked amongst the top 10 most viewed entries during the competition period will each receive a Visitmalta goody bag!
