Australian tennis great, Pat Cash, to promote Malta with the UK market

Following on from our successful promotion at the Fortis Tennis Classic the Malta Tourism Authority now has confirmation that Pat Cash and family will be visiting Malta between 24-31 October 2009. Accommodation will be sponsored by Vintage Travel and will be staying in one of the Baron Group villas. Air Malta are also co-sponsors and will be offering the club class tickets at a reduced cost.

The visit will be covered by Conde Nast Traveller and their Promotions and Creative Director together with his assistant will be travelling to Malta between 23-29 October 2009. resulting in a two page advertorial to be published early in 2010.

The programme will highlight the delights and activities in both Malta and Gozo with an emphasis on Gozo in the autumn and winter months.

Pat made sure to mention that during his school days, one of his best friends was Maltese. He knew of Malta even though he had not visited our Islands and was keen to discover our historical and cultural heritage.

MTA hosted two tables at the Fortis Tennis Classic on Thursday, 18th June, with a pre-arranged surprise visit by Pat Cash during lunch, the guests were all rather delighted and enthused to meet him. One of the guests was the editor of C & I T Magazine who could not resist the opportunity of getting Pat to pose with our recently produced Gozo Mini Guide.
