Malta voted top dive destination in Europe in the ‘2008 Diver Awards’

The 35,000 readers of Diver Magazine have recognised Malta’s burgeoning reputation as one of the premier dive destinations in the world by voting it above all other European countries in their annual ‘Diver Awards’. As revealed in Diver Magazine’s March issue, internationally Malta was topped only by Egypt and the Maldives.

The waters around Malta and Gozo are blessed with rocky reefs, sea caves, plentiful marine life and the wrecks of ships from Malta’s rich maritime history - with such a variety of dives concentrated around the tiny island nation it is little wonder that the islands have been honoured with the award.

Voted on by those passionate about diving, the award demonstrates that Malta and Gozo are becoming highly regarded holiday destinations for the more adventurous.
