History channel to cover the Great Siege

High Noon Production of Colorado USA was in Malta between January 4 – 11 in order to shoot a documentary on various aspects of the Great Siege of 1565. The Malta Tourism Authority provided a group of 9 re-enactors who usually take part in the In Guardia Parade to carry out some of the scenes.

The TV programme is intended to tackle the subject of the Great Siege from the aspect of weaponry – how this was manufactured and used. The production is planned to be broadcast later on during the year on History Channel. Various entities and individuals in Malta assisted the production including HRGM, Steve Petroni who supplied six carriage guns, a locations manager an artistic set director and more.
