Busy Christmas period for the Gozo Youth Wind Band and Orchestra

The Gozo Youth Wind Band & Orchestra is up for a busy schedule during the festive period. In fact, the Youth Band & Orchestra is engaged in 4 events with a possibility of an additional concert.

On Monday 1st December, 2008, The Gozo Youth Wind Band – Woodwind Ensemble entertained a full-house audience in Fontana on the occasion of the Foundation Day Commemoration under the patronage of Hon. Dr Chris Said – Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Public Dialogue.

Saturday 13th December, 2008 at 8pm—Oratory Don Bosco
The Gozo Youth Orchestra’s turn to perform in conjunction with The Helping Hands Group in the 1st Edition of The Gozo Christmas Show. The Orchestra will accompany and provide musical material during a Nativity Play including Christmas Arrangements as well as Soundtracks from Christmas Movies.
Sunday 14th December, 2008 from 6.00–7.00 pm — Arkadia Shopping Mall Grounds
The Gozo Youth Wind Band will entertain the general public with festive tunes and arrangements from films and musicals.
Sunday 21st December, 2008 at 8.00 pm — St George’s Square (in case of bad weather at Oratory Don Bosco)
The Gozo Wind Band in collaboration with The Helping Hands Group present the 7th Edition of Christmas With The Musicals. Various arrangements of Christmas Medleys and Soundtracks from Movie Blockbusters featuring popular musicals from the West End and Broadway will be accompanied by The Helping Hands Group Theatre Experience Students, Adult Chorus and pop singers from Gozo and Malta. Guest singer: Lawrence Gray. The public will have the opportunity to be treated by Mr Dione Lautier, proprietor of Grapes Wind Bar to exquisite food and drinks to compliment this evening.
