Winners of the Malta Tourism Authority competition in Spain arrive

On the 28th October 2008, Ambassador Gaetan Naudi presented Mr Jose Alberto Burgues from Madrid with a vacation for two to Malta.  This was the outcome of a competition held by the Malta Tourism Authority in Spain between mid June and mid September, aimed at all those who visited the international Fair EXPO 2008 in Zaragoza.  In total around 4,000 people took part in this web-based competition.

Mr Burgues commented that initially he knew little about Malta, but soon got caught up in Malta’s long history, especially given he is an architect, he and his wife will be taking the opportunity to have a second honeymoon in Malta.

Ambassador Naudi, said that the Maltese embassy in Spain will be at his service both before and after their trip to Malta, for anything they may need. He said that Malta offers something for all to enjoy no matter what age or tastes need to be catered for. Ambassador Naudi encouraged Mr Burgues to talk to others about his experience in Malta on his return to Spain; it is the best kind of advertising.
