Carabinieri episodes filmed in Malta aired on Italian TV

Fidia Films the production house for the Italian TV series Carabinieri 7 has confirmed that the episodes shot in Malta last year were transmitted on Canale 5 on Wednesday 11th June at prime time at around 20.45hrs.

This series, which is a firm favourite with around 6 million viewers in Italy and the Maltese, came to Malta to film 2 episodes featuring Malta as the actual backdrop. The main actors are the handsome Walter Nudo and the no less beautiful Chiara Ricci. The filming of these 2 episodes expose Mdina, Vittoriosa, Grand Harbour, St Julian’s, and the local coastline to the audience. This production was offered the support of the Malta Tourism Authority in terms of logistics, with a view to promoting Malta in Italy as one of the core markets. Such initiatives also offer the scope for Malta to be marketed as a top quality filming location per se.
