BMA’S nominees announced

On the 9th of November a press conference announcing the nominees for the Bay Music Awards, was held at the Intercontinental Hotel.

Mr Terry Farrugia opened the press conference, he was pleased to see that last year’s BMA’s were a huge success, and it would be a challenge to meet the high expectations created by this. This year the nominees per category were increased from four to five. Mr Farrugia also spoke of the success of last year’s Singing for Bay Kids campaign.

The Awards Categories are:

Best Newcomer
Best Dance Tune
Best Solo Artist
Best Song
Best Band
And the coveted BMA Icon Award goes to The Characters.

The MTA is proud to support this event; rewarding the Maltese musical talent and encouraging them continue producing and exporting local music, helping to put Malta on the map as a music fan’s place to be.
