Sarkozy in Malta
French president-elect Nicholas Sarkozy has left Paris to Malta early afternoon on Monday. He arrived at the Malta International Airport at around 1400CEST on a private jet with his wife Cecilia and his child Louie.
It was reported that Sarkozy followed normal security procedures at the Airport and is keeping the visit on a low-profile. Media reports on Monday evening said the Maltese government confirmed that Sarkozy is in Malta but not on an official visit, although special security measures have been been prepared.
A BMW took Sarkozy from the Airport to Manoel Island where he boarded a yacht.
