Malta and Gozo Winter/Spring advertising campaign launched overseas
The Malta Tourism Authority has recently launched a new winter/spring advertising campaign promoting destination Malta in the core European markets. The campaign kicked off some three weeks ago in the British print media and was followed by print media campaigns in France, Germany, Italy, Scandinavia, the Benelux, Hungary and Japan, amongst others. The first phase of the new Malta and Gozo adverts incorporates a striking red background throughout, with images that promote the Heritage, Hospitality and Diversity platform. Outdoor billboard adverts will also be appearing in the very near future in certain core markets.
The new creatives, of which a good many examples have been produced, promote the Maltese islands as "The Mediterranean's Best Kept Secret" and include both mass-appeal visuals as well as specialized market visuals, such as sports, spa and well-being holidays, relaxation, sun & sea, diving etc.
Before the new campaign was launched, a great many overseas tour operators and Malta specialists were consulted so as to obtain the widest possible consensus and critical feedback
